The new Law on electronic communications (ZEKom-1), implemented into the Slovenian legislation, revised the directive on privacy in Electronic Communications 2002/58/EC. The law was issued on 15/06/2013 and is obligatory for all websites which use web cookies and similar technologies in any way for its operation.
The Directive amended an article about cookies and similar technologies, which can be used to store information or to gain information stored on the user’s terminal equipment (such as a computer or a mobile device). The use of such technologies is now possible only with users’ consent.
